Thanks to everyone who helped out for our season kick off Onion Planting Party on Saturday! We got over 2,000 plants into the ground and made some new friends!
For those who could not make it but are interested in helping, there is still so much work to do. We will regularly update the blog with a planting schedule and invite any and all to join us.

Onion Plant-a-thon Saturday April 25th
This first season we will depend on the kindness, support, and hard labor of friends and family. We've been busy prepping the fields and seeding in the greenhouse in anticipation of planting. Our first big day will be Saturday April 25th.
Come one, come all to help us put 7,ooo onions, scallions, leeks, and shallots into the ground! Drop in any time from 9 am to 2 pm with the whole family to our Auer Farm field in Bloomfield about ten minutes from Hartford off of Rt. 185. Visit the Auer Farm site for directions.
Snacks and drinks will be provided. We will also be raffling off a $10 gift certificate to the Hartford West End Farmers' Market which we will be selling at on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4 pm to 7 pm beginning June 16th.
